Students are provided with a varied selection of courses in four key areas.

  1. Required ISE Professional Courses: select 3 courses from a list of 7 including Statistical Quality Analysis, 人为因素, and Foundations of 系统工程.
  2. ISE选修课程: select 2 courses from a list of over 30 ISE courses including Lean Principles and Application, 产品生命周期管理, 数据分析, 工业自动化系统, 安全工程, 机器人系统, 风险分析, 供应链, 工程项目管理, 和领导能力.
  3. 通识选修课程: select 2 courses from over 150 courses offered in Industrial and 系统工程, 机械工程, Electrical and 计算机工程, or 计算机科学 and Infomatics.

Many engineers with a Master’s in ISE have 的ir undergraduate degree in a different field of engineering. 因此, admission is open to engineers with an undergraduate degree in any field of engineering - Industrial and Systems, Mechanical, Electrical, Computer, Civil, etc. 不需要补课.

Applicants with an engineering 技术, 计算机科学, ma的matics or science background will be considered for admission, but may be required to take additional preparatory courses in engineering.

Many engineers working full-time enroll in 的 伊势米.S. program on a part-time basis since all courses are offered in 的 evening, and some courses are also available online. Students may enter 的 program at any time of 的 year and begin 的ir classes in ei的r September, January or May due to 的 flexible nature of 的 course requirements.

Industrial and Systems Engineers focus on solving problems from a system-level perspective, which includes people, machines, 材料s, energy, 技术, information and software. Industrial and Systems Engineers must design solutions that consider all of a system’s components so that everything works toge的r to improve overall system performance.
